You will create a game using CreateJS – a suite of library and tools, to control visuals, input, sound and basic javascript for the game logic itself. Real World Capstone Projects
Students work in teams to put into practice all the knowledge they have acquired during the year long program by identifying, designing and implemeting a website or marketing video for a local company. Project teams will use Agile software development princiles to manage their projects, communicate project status, adapt to changing requirements and overcome technical challenges.
Job Shadow
Students learn the skills needed to identify jobs that match their proficiency and interest, learn professional skills including creating a targeted resume, LinkedIn profile, networking, interviewing and negotiating skills. Students are placed in job shadows based on their interests and the IT career paths they want to explore. They are matched with a mentor during the program. Students come away with a well-informed view of the rich and exciting world of IT.
