The Computing for All internship program will be a valuable learning experience for engineering students from all backgrounds. You will be paired up with a dedicated mentor who is committed to your success. An intern can expect to have ownership of their project, collaborate with team members and receive consistent and helpful feedback. You will have the opportunity to get your hands on the latest web technologies while working on this project. You will be writing code that will impact thousands of people worldwide. Undergraduates and graduate students are welcome. This will be an unpaid Internship position based in Seattle, WA.

In the Computing For All internship program, you will design and build a cloud-based web platform that will serve as a central repository for students, teachers, employers, and working professionals. We will support digital skills acquisition by providing courses and tying them together into a taxonomy of skills based on Washington State’s digital literacy standards. Through this platform, young people will be able to explore tech learning pathways based on interests and in-demand tech skills/careers. We’ll explore the city’s rich resources to find out what they can learn, make, do and ultimately become. The platform will also function as a social network that allows peers to find and engage with professional mentors in this connected learning ecosystem to develop high demand digital skills. For young people to attain a better understanding of the progression routes available in tech careers, we will create a recommendation engine that is adaptive, and data-driven. Based on the users’ profile, skills, and interests, we will create a personalized experience that guides them on the path to their dream career.
